ATL, you’ve got mail!

I was at a point in my life where I felt like I was existing and not LIVING. I was doing everything I was supposed to do; going to college, had a decent job and an internship but I felt like I was just going through the robotic motions of life. I’ve always had goals and aspirations, so it made me think, what am I doing now to get me where I want to be in the future?

I decided to research “Public Relations Internships” in Houston and nothing stood out to me. I then formulated research in Atlanta, since that is where I want to move after college. I came across an article that displayed publicist in Atlanta. This is when I was introduced to owner of  The B Firm PR,  specializes in the fields I’ve always seen myself in Fashion, Beauty and Entertainment which is what drew me to her.

One of my good friends encouraged me to email her for an internship. I did not expect a response but decided to step out on faith and reach out anyway. About a week passed and I hadn’t heard anything, so I sent a follow up email and immediately she responded. I sent off my resume and we had a phone interview the next day and from there is when our partnership began.

Next thing you know, I was invited me out to Atlanta to attend an event we had been working on “The 1st Spring Fashion Show hosted by Celebrity Wardrobe Stylist Shun Melson.” What an amazing opportunity to be able to witness things I contributed to come to life. I’ve been very thankful for the partnership I’ve created.

I encourage you to step out on faith and out of your comfort zone! Don’t doubt yourself, and believe you can do anything you put your mind to. I’m blessed beyond measure and hope to use my experience as an inspiration to others and encourage you to follow your dreams!
