Hey guys!

As you all know I celebrated my 22nd birthday on October 6th. I am pretty big on celebrating my birthday but this year I decided to do something a little different. I decided to go on a “birthday tour.” This wasn’t quite my intentions, but somehow I ended up going on multiple trips. And me being extra I decided to call it a birthday tour, LOL. Over the course of October I went to a total of three different states in a span of three weeks. Sounds fun but it was actually very tiring lol. I would not recommend a tour but I definitely encourage everyone to go out and travel, it’s not as expensive as it seems! (Travel guide coming soon.) I definitely had a blast on the tour, each city gave me something different!

First Stop: New York City October 4th – 7th

This was probably the most unexpected trip out of all of my trips. Going to New York has ALWAYS been a dream of mine but I said I would only go under one condition. Those of you that know me know that I am a huge fan of Wendy Williams. I know she’s not a fan favorite (so take your negative comments else where lol) but for me I have been watching Wendy Williams faithfully since like my freshman year of high school. Thankfully I received FREE tickets to attend the Wendy Williams Show. I’m sure you all can see the excitement in my face in the episode below. I literally smiled the ENTIRE episode. It just felt so surreal to actually be in New York and be on a show that I had always dreamed of being on. Wendy was everything I expected her to be and the amount of energy and excitement I had at 8 o’clock in the morning was ridiculous. We literally got PERFECT seats, and the camera loved me! Thanks to Wendy, I can now officially say I am a celeb.

New York itself was everything I imagined it to be. From the big lights, busyness of the streets and subway performers. NYC is everything that you see and hear on TV. I wouldn’t have chosen to bring in my 22nd birthday in any other city.

Stop Two: Tampa Florida October 7th-9th

My friends and I are SZA fans and when she announced her tour we decided to get tickets. Well, the tour sold out in minutes with the exception of a few cities, Tampa being one. Being the adventurist we are, we decided to just buy the tickets and make a trip out of it. This trip was really like a ‘pick up and go’ kind of trip. We had no idea where we’d be staying, how we were going to get around or what we’d be doing but we had tickets and were determined to go. Honestly, I think those are the best kinds of trips. They’re just so adventurist. I literally left New York not knowing what to expect in Tampa.

My friends flew in before me so they had everything figured out. When I landed in Tampa, my friend sent me the address to the hotel. Once I pulled up to the hotel I’m thinking like how did they afford this super fancy hotel. I call them and tell them I am outside and they took me up to the top floor and when we got to the room it said “Chairman’s suite.” And I’m thinking who is going to pay for this? I just left one of the most expensive cities in America and now they want me to pay for a chairman’s suite. LOL. Thankfully a family member blessed us with this room and we ended up having the largest room in the hotel. So of course we lived in Tampa like rock stars and we definitely lived our best life! We met some amazing people, ate great food and had a wonderful time.

Final Stop: Atlanta, GA October 19th-22nd

It wouldn’t be a proper birthday experience if I did not include one of my favorite cities, Atlanta! Atlanta is one of my many homes, I always have a good time there. By the time I reached Atlanta I was BURNT OUT. Honestly by day two of New York I was exhausted but thankfully I had a week back home to recoup and prepare for Atlanta. The main event of this trip was SpelHouse (Spelman and Morehouse) homecoming. This was my second time experiencing their homecoming so at this point I am officially an honorary student, it’s always a pleasure being in the AUC! Being around so much melanin and culture is something I could never get tired of. Attending concerts, award shows and plays throughout the weekend and THE TAILGATE FOOD *inserts drooling emoji*. The food was absolutely delicious, from fried Oreos, fried chicken and cheesesteaks. I definitely gained some vacation weight.

Overall I had a blast on my birthday tour! I wish I could have taken more pictures/ footage, and wrote more. But we’d be here all day lol and it’s just something you’d have to be there to experience. Thank you to my friends for making the birthday tour possible, I couldn’t have done this without you guys! Thank you to myself for being extra and adventurist *Hair flip* Thank you God for allowing me to see another year and my parents for birthing and raising me! Thank you to my job for providing the funds to travel. Shout out to all the pilots that flew the planes, thank you for getting me to my destinations safely.

The birthday tour has been good to me and this will be a birthday i’ll never forget. Like that one time I blew my moment of spotlight on Wendy Williams by proudly saying “How are you doing?” instead of saying “How you doin’!” Or that time I took the wrong subway and accidentally ended up in Brooklyn. Or in Tampa, when I met Daniel and he gave me one of the best birthday gifts! And Atlanta… well the food alone was memorable.

Again thank you all for the birthday wishes! And to myself, happy 22nd birthday, 22 looks good on you!

Until Next Time,

An Official Celeb
