We are now in the second quarter of the year, and January 1st seems like it was just yesterday. Everyone was writing down and sharing their list of goals for the new year and now it’s like where did the time go, it’s April already!! Normally by this time of the year we have three kinds of people.
1) You have the person that has completely given up and forgotten all about their New years resolutions and goals. They honestly probably don’t even know where their list is at and barely remember what they put on the list.
2) Then you have the person actively pursuing their goals and resolutions but need a little bit of a push to complete the rest of their list. You probably checked off a few things on your list and set it down and haven’t picked it back up in a while.
3) Lastly, you have the person that we all strive to be. They created their list probably months in advance before the new year and have been checking off their list left and right since. *kuddos to you
Now ask yourself which person are you?
Okay so now raise your hand if your like me and you fall somewhere in the middle. * Raises both hands * LOL, it happens we get distracted, we make excuses, we get busy and we get comfortable in our current situation.
Now ask yourself what’s holding you back? Is it fear, lack of discipline, lack of resources, laziness and procrastination or are you just making up excuses?
Whatever it is CUT IT, it’s time to do some spring cleaning.
Revisit your list, set realistic goals and reclaim your time!
Remember, everything that you have on your list can be accomplished it just takes effort. You can finish the race but you just have to actually run it.
When you choose a new journey and a new goal you have to endure in the struggle to finish the race even if it gets hard (which it will). Now is not the time to slow down but time speed up, keep pushing and finish the race. Even the best runners run out of breath but they KEEP RUNNING!
Let’s remind ourselves of our goals and our “why’s” and lets get our head in the race, its time for tunnel vision. Lace up, keep your eyes on the prize and cross that finish line!
Until Next Time,
